Congratulations to Los Gatos High School student Blake Thomas, for winning the recent District 4-C6 Lions level at the 83rd annual Lions of California Student Speakers Contest.
He will continue on to the Area contest. In the preceding four levels Blake has received $500 in prize money and $4,500 towards a college scholarship.
This year’s speech topic is “Homelessness in California: What is the Solution?” Thanks to LGHS speech advisor Zachary Davison-Wilson for advising Blake and to Los Gatos Lions Club Student Speaker chairman, Denise Ramón Herrera for chairing the club program.
Blake will now continue on to the Area and State Finals and the opportunity to win more scholarship money. Blake plans to attend UC Berkeley. We are proud of Blake. http://www.lions4c6.org/contests/student-speakers-contest/
