You’ve read and seen the news about the devastating earthquake that has occurred in Nepal. $100,000 has already been sent as startup funds for what will be a massive and long-term relief effort. I also learned that the Lions of Nepal were holding their district convention when the earthquake hit! They’ve reported that all of the Lions are OK and are organizing for the work to be done.
LCIF has a site up and running for donations to assist our ten Lions clubs there in the recovery efforts. Click on the link below to make a donation. When completing the forms, you need to check “Disaster” for where the contribution is to go. This means of donating requires the use of a credit card.

First, we’ll be tasting at Dillian Wines. They will have just bottled their Syrah, and if it’s ready, we’ll taste it along with their other wines. We’ll be supplying cheese and crackers to accompany our tasting.
Next we’ll travel to Domba Zemlja, where Amador Vintage Market will deliver sandwiches, pasta salad, strawberries and brownies for our picnic lunch. (And we can certainly get wine to go with that!) Wine tasting will follow.
The price is $40 and now includes lunch and cheeses. Dobra Zemlja has a separate $5 tasting fee, refunded on the purchase of wine. We’ll meet at the lobby of the hotel at 9:30 on Thursday and we’ll handle all the logistics, so all you need to do is bring your zest for wine and your appetite. We expect to return to the hotel between 3:00 and 3:30.
Come join us! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 408-910-6597 to RSVP.
