Deadline for mailing club’s poster winning poster is December 15, 2015.  Posters can be hand delivered to District Peace Poster Chairperson Carla Evans at the District Cabinet Meeting on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015.

Contest Location & Time:

November 21, 2015 at Patio Room of The Villages of San Jose. Directions to the room will be available at the security gate of The Villages.  Doors are closed for judging from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Doors open at 10:00 a.m. for Lions to see the posters and speak with the judges regarding their choices.

The Villages is located on Villages Parkway, off San Felipe Road, in San Jose.

dessert Come unwind with some wine, music, and fabulous desserts donated by some of  Morgan Hill best known restaurants and venues for a great cause.  Our bi-annual college scholarship fundraiser coincides with the wine-lovers Passport weekend on November 7 and 8th from 1 to 5 pm.  Join us at Morgan Hill Cellars for a delicious dessert, while enjoying free music.  You do not need a wine passport to come join us for the fun.

Join Scales of Justice Lions in their quest to find the Perfect Meatball  and raise money for local charities. Enter for a chance to win the Scales of Justice Lions Summa Spicy Meatball Cook‐Off Trophy and $$$ prizes!

All you can eat spaghetti with special sauce by DH and Bold Knight restaurant, salad, garlic bread, dessert.  Beverages available for purchase.  And, of course, meatball tasting!

Contestants must bring at least 40 meatballs ‐‐  precooked, with sauce ‐‐ where they will be reheated and judged on the basis of taste, size, texture, sauce, and overall quality.  You can use your imagination in preparing and presenting your meatballs, but please ‐ no tofu, veggie or freeze‐dried meatballs!  This is, after all, a MEATball  cook‐off!

Start walking NOW so you can easily do the 1 mile, 5 mile, and walk or run towards Discovery Meadow or 10K walk or run towards the airport. Both are paved, flat, and wheelchair accessible. Plan to arrive early to enjoy the Healthy Living Fair, Kids Play Zone, raffle prizes, and entertainment. Lions AJ Robinson Mobile Health Screening Unit will be providing free health screenings including diabetes and vision using new camera.
