“Finders and Minders, a 2012 Guide to Discovering and Mentoring New Lions”

  • The session will include group work and the following topics: where to find new members, strategies for recruitment, benefits of meeting with perspective members away from the club setting, benefits of inviting perspective members to attend club/district meetings events, the importance of determining if the perspective member is a good fit for your club, and options if they are not, characteristics of a successful mentor, LCI’s requirements for basic and advanced mentoring.

“Why are We Losing Members?”

  • Our Orientation Chairs PDG Dennis Miller and RC Allen King will present this session and answer questions regarding the importance of orientation and retention of our members, new and experienced.

“Improve Service to our Communities”

  • CC Liz will review the Club Excellence Program (CEP) and the importance of this program to every club in the district.

The Willow Glen Lions Club has been selected to promote their mission and activities at the Community Corner section of the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest located at Market and San Fernando Streets from 12 noon to 8 pm downtown San Jose. Please come visit our booth and enjoy the music of over 100 performers on 12 stages. We are excited to participate in this community outreach event. Parking is available for $5 all day at 5 nearby garages. Admission is $20 for the day.
