SJ Vietnamese Americans Lions Club needs support to organize an AJ Van event in May for low income families and Vietnamese communities in South San Jose.  We would appreciate if you and your club could:

  1. Donate  $20.00 from each Club in the District for AJ Van services
  2. Provide man/woman power to help running the AJ Van

Lion Eddie Dinsmore Memorial Service – March 5th, 2011

Our friend and Past President of Almaden Super Lions, Lion Eddie Dinsmore, passed away on February 9.

Memorial service will be this Saturday on March 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of Flowers, 900 S. and 2nd Street, San Jose.

Cabrillo Host Lions Celebrate 50th Charter Night

Cabrillo Host Lions will celebrate their 50th charter Night Saturday, March 26, 6 p.m. at Seascape golf Lodge in Aptos. Past International Director Joseph Di Ducca will be the keynote speaker. Well-known Bay area saxophonist, Alan Cole, will provide entertainment. Two charter members will be celebrating the club’s service to the community- President and Past Cabinet Secretary David Chamberlain and Club Treasurer Thomas Schmida.   • Tour of City of Hope including the new Lions Clubs International Family Center
  • BBQ Lunch provided by City of Hope.  City of Hope requests clubs make donations in lieu of the cost of the lunch to City of Hope, Family Center.  
    • Certificates of Appreciation for all donations will be presented at Lions Tribute Day in March.  A variety of thank-yous are being planned for all Lions Family Center donations, including nameplates on the Donor Wall of the Japanese Garden for gifts of $1,500 or more.
