Los Gatos Lions Club 21st Annual Golf Tournament

The tournament is held at Coyote Creek Golf Club, San Jose. 10:30 AM Registration and range ball practice, 12 noon Shot Gun start.  See Coyote Creek course map and score card.

Enjoy this fun filled day of golf and activities with your friends. All levels of play welcome, it’s a fun time.  The tournament awards banquet is immediately following golf at Coyote Creek Golf Club. The event features a buffet dinner, no host bar, tournament awards, raffle, silent and live auction and the drawing for the deluxe Maui vacation.  All proceeds benefit Los Gatos Lions Charities.

Lions Eye Foundation Membership Appreciation and Tour

To All Lions Club Members and Friends of the Foundation:

You are cordially invited to the Membership Appreciation Meeting of the Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada, Inc. on Saturday, July 21, 2018. We will meet at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Lions Clubs and Guest Program:
Will start at 9:30 a.m. in the Enright Room, just past the elevators off from the Lobby area (main hospital, 2333 Buchanan). Coffee and donuts will be available. All interested Lions and their guests are encouraged to attend. Speakers are Gena Damento, MD (resident) and Denice Barsness, supervisor, Ophthalmic Diagnostic Services.

Hot Lunch will start at 12:15 p.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church (corner of Jackson & Fillmore). Cost is $25.00 per person. Kasra Eliasieh, MD, Residency Program Director, will be our guest speaker.

TOUR of the Clinic (by staff):
Tours will start around 2:45 p.m. at 711 Van Ness Avenue, Room 250. Tours should be completed by 4:00 p.m. Shuttle will be available.

Gilroy Lions Annual Corn Feed and Steak BBQ

Gilroy Lions is hosting their 59th Annual Corn Feed and Steak Barbecue:

Date: Friday, August 17th with dinner served at 7PM.
Tickets: $25 per person before August 13.  $30 afterward August 13, and at the door.
Location: Gilroy Golf Course, 2695 Hecker Pass Highway, Gilroy.
Price includes rib eye steak, and all the corn, salad, beans and garlic bread you can eat!

Lions 49ers v. Dallas Preview Night

Okay Lions and 49er fans,

Want to get a preview of Jimmy G and our beloved Niners? Then join your fellow Lions on August 9th at 7:00 pm as San Fran takes on those Cowboys from Big D Dallas. Having been assigned to the nosebleed seats last year, I personally met with Kyle Snyder, 49er group sales manager, and said that is not happening again. This year we are seated in section 203, 2 as in second not fourth. Good news these are much better seats, bad news, I only have SIX more seats available. So if you wanna come, get back to me, Gayle Kludt at or Carla Evans at ASAP as in ” All Seats Are Perfect” right away. Cost is $50.00 each.

Sponsorships Available for 2nd USA/Canada Leo Leadership Forum – APPLY NOW


I have GREAT NEWS. The 2017-2019 Council of Governors has chosen to offer four $750 sponsorships for Leos interested in attending the 2nd USA/Canada Leo Leadership Forum which will take place August 1st thru 5th, 2018 in Westchester, New York. The sponsorships will cover the registration fee, hotel room and four days of meals for participating Leos. The sponsorship does not cover airfare to and from New York, but it is hoped that the Districts and/or sponsoring Lions clubs of the Leos selected to receive the sponsorships may be able to assist with the cost of air travel. Ground transportation from JFK airport of La Guardia airport to the Forum will be provided.

One of the most memorable times for the incoming District Governor as well as his/her Cabinet members is their installation.  Installation and lunch at 11:00 a.m. The Cabinet meeting, installation, and lunch will all be integrated into this paid admission event.
