AJ Robinson Health Screening at Hot San Jose Nights – Willow Glen Lions

Notice to District 4C6 Lions and Lions Clubs

Please volunteer! Let’s make a significant Lions showing.

Help staff the A.J. Robinson Mobile Health Screening Unit when Willow Glen Lions offers free health screening to people at the Hot San Jose Nights event on Saturday and Sunday, July 9 and 10.

Willow Glen Lions is the featured charity at this summer’s Hot San Jose Nights (check it out on-line). Help make the Family Fun Center (you can sign-up to help there also) and the Health Screenings a big success. Hot San Jose Nights is more than just a car show and is Santa Clara valley’s signature summer-fun event.

Lions will be recruiting people to the screening, having participants sign forms before entering unit, and assisting with screenings for blood pressure, vision, and hearing inside the unit. If you have not helped before there is training prior to your shift. Wear your Lions Club Shirt, Lions Vest, and Hat. Show your Club involvement and have your club member staff an entire shift. Take the opportunity to meet the public and recruit new members.

Contact Lions Jim Isaacson (408 464-3901) to sign up. Sign-up sheets for both days are attached so you can see the 9 AM to 12 PM and 12 PM to 3 PM shifts.

The Lions needed is six per shift, 12 per day, and 24 over the two days.

Nurses will be performing blood glucose screening for diabetes.

Volunteers have free admission to Hot San Jose Nights.

Patronize the Willow Glen Lions Pancake Breakfast. Tickets to HSJN and for the Pancake Breakfast are available on-line and directly from Willow Glen Lions.
