Willow Glen Lions are providing this food opportunity during Goombahs Car Club Cruise For A Cause Car Show:

All varieties of custom and classic cars (vehicles) line Lincoln Avenue on Sunday morning September 10 and fill parking areas – starting very early in the morning. So you walk a little after parking somewhere in the area (or get your customer/classic car there early) and stroll Lincoln Avenue enjoying your review of the custom & classic cars and a beautiful morning in downtown Willow Glen. That will get your appetite ready for the Burrito and/or Hot Dog.

Cupertino Host Lions Fish-A-Thon: Hands-On Event Needs Volunteers

Cupertino Host Lions’ annual Fish-A-Thon has been recognized as a ‘best hands-on project’ in District 4-C6 and has been profiled in the Lion magazine. Volunteers make this event happened, make the event very meaningful to about 100 Participants – special needs children and adults (including clients of the Blind Center).

Date & Location: April 29 at Stevens Creek Quarry   Details are in the uploaded document Volunteers+Schedule 2017 FISH-A-THON.

Volunteers can help in a number of different areas:

  •      helping Participants fish;
  •      helping maintain & distribute fishing equipment;
  •      helping maintain identify of Participants’ fish,  icing through to distribution;
  •      helping serve breakfast and lunch;
  •      helping move all CHLC items back to storage and in the cleanup;
  •         (Breakfast and Lunch are served to Volunteers)
  •      helping in the Friday afternoon setup.
  •         (There is dinner Friday after the setup)

Willow Glen Lions: Rummage Sale April 22 – Donate Items

Willow Glen Lions is holding a rummage sale as a fundraiser for Willow Glen Lions Charities, Inc.  The funds raised support the charitable “We Serve” efforts conducted by Willow Glen Lions.  The “Request for Donations” is provided so that other Lions, and hopefully their neighbors, will find items no longer used and donate those items to the Rummage Sale.

The Rummage Sale will be held Saturday April 22, 10 AM to about 3 PM.  Location is at the First Congregational Church at the corner of Hamilton and Leigh Avenues, 1980 Hamilton Ave., San Jose, CA 95125.  Volunteers are welcome to help.  Willow Glen Lions will be actively recruiting new members during this event.Rummage sale request for goods


CCI DogFest Walk’N Roll – REMINDER – for Saturday 10/10

Lions!! Come and observe. Take your dog on this walk on Saturday 10/10/15. No dog? Bring the kids and/or grandkids. Dogs and humans both need to socialize.

IPDG Karen Fillmore will have a table for Lions District 4C6 and needs volunteers to assist and to be Lions – supporters of CCI.

CCI DogFest Walk’N Roll – Saturday October 10

Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) is sponsoring DogFest Walk ’n Roll Silicon Valley on October 10th (10 am-1pm) at Memorial Park in Cupertino.

DogFest Walk ‘n Roll events are being held in many locations across the U. S. to raise awareness of CCI’s mission to provide life-changing assistance dogs free of charge to people with disabilities and as a major CCI fund raising activity. DogFest is Canine Companions’ signature national event. It is a dog-friendly and family friendly walk and festival. It is open to the public and is free. Support the amazing work CCI does to provide highly-trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities.


The DogFest Walk ‘n Roll is an opportunity to be present with CCI graduates, CCI dogs, CCI volunteers, CCI supporters. Lions and friends can walk, walk with their dog, or just observe (the DogFest part is various dog oriented displays and vendors along with entertainment).

You can join the “Lions Clubs Silicon Valley 4C6” team just by making a donation (just a few clicks and you’re done!). The most fun is being present but you can support the fundraising by being a virtual walker or making a donation through the team.
