Christmas & The Holiday Season!
American Legion Post 564 (Upstairs), 2120 Walsh Ave, Santa Clara, CA 95050
Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 7:00 PM!
This event will be a Potluck so please bring a dish to share,
and a wrapped $10 gift for the gift exchange.
Also, in the spirit of Lionism, consider bringing an unwrapped new toy to be donated to Toys for Tots.
Since we are such a multicultural society, lets have a bit of fun by sharing any unique Christmas/Holiday traditions from our own cultures — or any Christmas/Holiday traditions that we might have experienced when visiting other countries or friends from other countries.
Looking forward to celebrating the holiday’s and the end of a successful year for Milpitas Gateway Lions.
Triet Hoang from California Phones is a wonderful guy and a true gentleman who works out of California Phones’ Berkeley Office. Last Tuesday evening he drove all the way down to Milpitas in appalling weather to speak to Milpitas Gateway Lions Club about California Phones.
California Phones is a free service, and part of the California Telephone Access Program. Their mission is to make it easier for those with handicaps of any kind to stay connected. They offer a wide variety of free specialized phones that make it easier to hear, dial, and call. The cost of the service they provide is paid for by a small mandatory fee on all California telephone bills. Continue reading
Triet Hoang from California Phones will be the guest speaker at Milpitas Gateway Lions Club on Tuesday, December 2, commencing at 6:30 p.m. at Denny’s Restaurant, 333 S Abbott Ave, Milpitas, California, (Calaveras Blvd & I-880).
All are welcome to attend and hear how this free service can help improve telephone access for those with disabilities.
Every day, specialized California Phones from the California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) enable over half a million Californians to stay connected.
There’s a California Phone for every need. For example, there are amplified phones that make it easier to hear conversations. Big button phones that are easier to dial. Phones with lights that flash for incoming calls. Convenient portable phones – and more. We also offer phones that are specially designed for individuals with more significant disabilities.
California Phones are available to persons who live in California, have telephone service* and their doctor or other qualified professional approves their need.
